On the registration form, the registering parent/guardian and student or adult participant must agree to the Terms & Conditions below in order to proceed with payment and seat reservation.

Seating is limited. Space is reserved when registration and payment are received. An automatic email confirmation will be sent to you upon receipt of the above. All prices are subject to change.

As “Teen” refers to those who are 17 years of age and under, for those who register as a “Teen,” an ID or permit check will be done on the first day of class to ensure that the student is 17 years of age and under.

A parent orientation meeting will be held 45 minutes before the end of the first classroom session unless otherwise specified. It is mandatory that one parent attend. Information about the process, parent and teen involvement, requirements of the law and more will be discussed. A question-and-answer period will follow.

Attendance is MANDATORY. The student is required to complete 30 hours of classroom instruction. Unexcused absences or tardiness may be the cause for disqualification from classroom certification. Call (808) 488-0001 if you know will be late. Make-up classes can be made up during a future session with HDI’s approval if rescheduled 72 hours in advance to avoid the $26.18 classroom reschedule fee. If not, in order to complete the program, you will need to fill out the reschedule form and pay this fee HERE.

Be sure to record and remember your six (6) hours of scheduled drives. Should you forget, you will be charged for the additional rescheduled hours. If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 72 hours before your scheduled drive to avoid the $52.35 fee (for Teens). If you are running late, call (808) 488-0001 or call your BTW instructor to let HDI know. If not, in order to complete the program, you will need to fill out the reschedule form and pay this fee HERE. The Adult BTW rescheduling fee is $110.00.

Keep the area clean and be respectful to the staff and fellow students. The following student conduct shall not be tolerated on program property: 1) abusive language; 2) fighting; 3) smoking or chewing tobacco products; 4) vandalism; 5) use of drugs, alcohol or illegal substances; 6) any display of disrespect or discourtesy and 7) any criminal acts as governed by law.

There shall be no refunds. All sales final.

There shall be a $75.00 charge for books not returned or returned damaged.

There shall be a $45.00 charge to replace lost certificates. The parent must have notarized an acknowledgement of lost completion certificate form (provided by the instructor). This form shall be given to the instructor in exchange for a replacement certificate.

If the HDI staff is unable to contact student’s parent or one of the persons listed as an emergency contact, I hereby consent that if my child exhibits signs of illness or injury, that at the discretion of the staff, my child may be taken to the nearest medical facility and be given any treatment deemed necessary by the personnel of the medical facility.
